Reunions 24 November 2001 01 September 2001 more ¤¤¤ Twenty-four SHSians showed up for our biggest reunion so far. More photos here. Class of 1984 Holds Biggest Reunion To Date Discovery Suites in Ortigas Center played host to the batch's best-attended reunions to-date. While our batch has long had the unpleasant reputation of being the least represented at SHS homecomings, the latest reunion hoped to change that. As a first step, plans to expand the alumnae database were forged -- with Deidre Rodriguez-Corpus releasing requests for updates via snail mail and Mona Magno-Veluz handling the updates via the website and email. The batch official website (http://shs1984.tripod.com) was also launched. The beautiful (pero grabe ang ingay!) ladies in attendance included: Alice Bustos-Orosa, Nanette Carandang-Tenorio, Butch Castillo-Abarcar, Ninya Castillo-Gan, Dioky Diokno, Beng Doria-Velarde, Pinky Estrella De-Gracia, Zoida Jandoc-Hernandez, Naty Jocson, Betty Lugay-San Luis, Leah Magallanes-Pastores, Mona Magno-Veluz, Teta Montecastro-Mejia, Lally Morales, Belly Mozo-Mansueto, Raquel Neis-Zamora, Ayie Ramos-Sampedro, Gina Reyes, Deidre Rodriguez-Corpus, Monica Rosario-Agbulos, Katrina Santos-Tianco, Noncy Simbulan-Rodriguez, Ruby Vita-De Castro and Timi Zialcita -- a record 24 women! We missed many other girls who were contacted, but were unable to make it. (Sorry na lang sa mga wala do'n -- malamang kayo ang napag-usapan!) With Ninya Castillo-Gan presiding, the group planned for yet another get-together (hopefully with an even bigger attendance) on 01 December 2001. A core organizing committee was set up to handle the details -- Ninya Castillo-Gan, Dioky Diokno, Beng Doria-Velarde, Betty Lugay-San Luis, Mona Magno-Veluz, Raquel Neis-Zamora and Deidre Rodriguez-Corpus. Ladies who have suggestions for venue and agenda may contact any of the abovementioned. Our batch will we celebrating our 20th anniversary in three years. These efforts to revive the camaraderie between the women of SHS Batch '84 are meant to be the foundation to build on for a well-attended and meaningful celebration in 2004. Back to top
